What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Administrator position at Vanguard Group Staffing, Inc.?
Temporary to Direct Hire, Payroll Administrator opportunity available in Yonkers, NY supporting a very well-known Construction Firm. This is a Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm position, fully onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly union/non-union payroll in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain payroll records including deductions, garnishments, direct deposits, and tax withholdings.
- Reconcile payroll reports and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with payroll audits, and preparation of payroll reports
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and timekeeping
- Collect Sign-In Logs and Timesheets. Ensure employee name, hours, and job site match company records.
- Resolve payroll-related matters
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 4 years of Union Payroll experience
- Must have experience working within the Construction industry
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and wage & hour laws
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and confidentiality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
