This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Prepare and review financial reports, variance analyses, forecasts, and management reporting packages.
- Support SEC reporting, regulatory filings, SOX compliance activities, and internal and external audits.
- Manage specialized accounting processes, including investment, reserve, and joint venture-related transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve reporting accuracy, support strategic planning, and meet organizational objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and active CPA certification required.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with public accounting experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, technical accounting research, and internal controls.
- Experience with ERP or financial systems such as SAP, along with advanced spreadsheet and reporting skills; BlackLine experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, project coordination, and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
