Payroll Specialist Responsibilities
- Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule for a multi-department workforce.
- Review, audit, and reconcile employee timecards prior to payroll processing.
- Communicate with employees and managers regarding timecard completion and approvals.
- Coordinate payroll deductions, adjustments, and employee changes with HR and Accounting.
- Provide payroll-related administrative support and assist with additional accounting functions as business needs evolve.
- Experience independently managing end-to-end payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of payroll procedures, compliance requirements, and payroll reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling confidential employee information.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills when working with employees, managers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule and attend on-site training and initial payroll cycles as needed.
