Indirect Tax Accountant Responsibilities
- Prepare and support global indirect tax filings, including sales & use, VAT/GST, property, and similar taxes.
- Complete regular reconciliations of indirect tax accounts within the general ledger.
- Organize, track, and help resolve correspondence and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Maintain documentation to support internal controls and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external tax advisors on filings, research, and special projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a corporate tax department or public accounting environment.
- Strong working knowledge of indirect tax concepts across multiple jurisdictions.
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large, detailed data sets.
- CPA or progress toward certification, advanced tax education, and Vertex O Series experience are preferred.
