About the Work Unit
Vanderbilt University’s Athletics Department prepares student-athletes to become leaders and champions in life by placing the highest values on integrity, character, sportsmanship and victory. Vanderbilt is a charter member of the Southeastern Conference and is the conference's only private school. The university fields 17 varsity teams, 15 of which compete in the Southeastern Conference.
· Organize scout cards and scripts for practice/walk-thru
· Goal line study expert
· Research and prepare scouting reports on opponents, including but not limited to depth chart, statistics, and analytics
· Game day duties, including but not limited to play chart, analyzing and recording tendencies, and data input
· Scout personnel for head coach
o Advise on recruiting needs
o Advise on needed position changes
o Identify what is lacking in specific areas
· Analytic responsibilities
o Opponent: prepare and present statistical data on opponents as directed
o Self-Scout: Prepare and present statistical data regarding Vanderbilt offense and defense as directed
· Playbook assembly and distribution
· Assist with the execution of unofficial and official recruiting visits as needed
· Represent the interest and image of the head football coach, the organization and Vanderbilt University.
· Fully comply with NCAA, AFCA, and SEC ethics and procedures
· Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree is necessary.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience is necessary.
- Previous experience in Division I football is necessary.
