Job Summary
Van Buren County Hospital is seeking up to four PRN RN Exceptions to support our Emergency Department and Emergency Services team.
This position provides emergency nursing care to patients of all ages while serving as a flexible emergency services resource. RN Exceptions may participate in ambulance response, interfacility patient transfers, prehospital care activities, and other emergency service functions as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care utilizing the nursing process
- Respond to emergent and critical patient situations
- Collaborate with providers, EMS personnel, and healthcare team members
- Complete required documentation in the electronic medical record
- Participate in ambulance response, transfers, and prehospital care activities
- Maintain readiness of emergency department and ambulance equipment
Qualifications
- Current Iowa RN License or Compact RN License
- EMT Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Mandatory Reporter Training
- TNCC Certification or ability to obtain within six months
- PALS Certification or ability to obtain within one year
