Program Manager (Quality Assurance)

The Program Manager will be the key driver and enabler to deliver capabilities needed for Enterprise - Claims QED .

The Program Manager will be the conduit between the Project Sponsor, Group and business platform stakeholders and external delivery partners and is accountable for successfully delivering the program/projects. The role involves coordination of the day-to-day activities, support on the prioritization of the requirements/backlog as well as support on the strategic planning over the project lifetime. The role plays a pivotal role to the timely implementation and success of any Data related project. It also involves looking at the Enterprise roadmap, aligning the team, and determining avenues to streamline and fast track delivery.

Additionally, this role will drive Quality Engineering strategy and governance across programs, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and automation-driven delivery aligned with enterprise standards.

Key Accountabilities

Work in close collaboration with project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure appropriate definition of project goals, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.

Manage the entire project delivery lifecycle, from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.

Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with business requirements and resource capabilities.

Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, QA, UX designers, DevOps, support, and third-party vendors.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients or business stakeholders, ensuring transparency and satisfaction throughout the engagement.

Monitor and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, with timely escalation and resolution.

Track and report delivery performance using KPIs, SLAs, velocity, and burn-down charts.

Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews (if applicable).

Ensure high-quality output by enforcing testing, code reviews, and quality control measures.

Manage budgets, resources, and project financials, ensuring cost efficiency.

Drive process improvements and contribute to delivery excellence frameworks.

Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture through coaching, feedback, and conflict resolution.

Engage with clients and prospective clients and assist with business/technical discovery and visioning sessions.

Added Responsibilities – Quality Assurance & Automation Leadership

Define and govern enterprise QA strategy, test frameworks, and quality gates across programs.

Lead end-to-end Quality Engineering across functional, automation, regression, and end-to-end testing streams.

Drive adoption and scalability of automation frameworks (UI & API) including Guidewire Testing (GT), TestCafe, Cucumber BDD, and Karate.

Ensure CI/CD integration of automated test suites and enable continuous testing practices.

Oversee quality metrics and reporting, including defect leakage, automation coverage, and release readiness.

Lead defect lifecycle management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Coordinate specialized testing streams such as performance testing, AI-assisted testing, accessibility, TDM, and NPE readiness.

Ensure adherence to Guidewire standards and best practices across ClaimCenter and Digital implementations.

Mentor and guide QA leads, automation engineers, and testing teams across multiple delivery streams.

Leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot) to improve productivity and test efficiency.

Experience/Skills

Min 12 years work experience in successful delivery of complex data related projects end to end.

Experience in Agile quality practices, techniques, and tools at all layers of data engineering.

Strong Knowledge on P&C domain with experience in Policy Admin Systems.

Familiarity with JIRA and other prioritization tools.

Knowledge and experience with project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall) to work with intricate, multifaceted projects.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Comfortable with changing and flexible requirements from business owner.

Customer oriented attitude.

High degree of self-motivation.

Experience managing third party relationships in the successful achievement of customer deliveries.

Demonstrated track record of delivering high quality projects & programs up to medium to large sized accounts.

Ability to communicate clearly to all levels and present to senior leadership.

Ability to lead, motivate & direct med-large sized engineering delivery teams.

Ability to help define delivery management core processes and improvement opportunities.

Demonstrated attentiveness to quality and productivity as outcomes.

Advanced analytical, problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills.

Ability to manage significant delivery budgets and minimize program variances.

Strong ability to lead teams across multiple shores.

Added Skills – QA & Guidewire Expertise

Strong experience in Guidewire ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and Digital platforms.

Deep expertise in Guidewire Testing (GT) UI & API automation frameworks.

Hands-on knowledge of JavaScript, TestCafe, Cucumber BDD, and Karate.

Strong understanding of STLC, enterprise QA governance, and release management practices.

Experience in quality metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting.

Proven ability to manage multi-stream QA teams and large-scale testing programs.

Guidewire ACE certification and domain certifications (e.g., AINS) preferred.
