POSITION PROFILE :

Under the leadership of the Executive Housekeeper or the Director of Housekeeping, you are to provide supervision and direction for all housekeeping activities of the hotel in a safe and efficient manner; ensuring the highest level of cleanliness; and maintaining guest satisfaction while protecting the assets and minimize expenses.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES

Conduct Inspections: Regularly inspect guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness and safety standards. Document and report any issues or deficiencies to the appropriate department.

Staff Training and Supervision: Train and supervise housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and guest service standards.

Guest Interaction: Address and resolve guest complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.

Inventory Management: Assist in management of cleaning supplies and maintain inventory levels to ensure all necessary materials are available.

Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure rooms are ready for guests and to facilitate smooth operations.

Quality Control: Conduct regular audits and spot checks to ensure quality control and consistency among housekeeping staff.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Rooms Management or a related management position.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Strong leadership qualities, the ability to motivate staff, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to make effective decisions under pressure and resolve conflicts.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed by the business.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend,and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs
• Be able to push and pull carts
• Good vision for detailed inspection
• Manual dexterity for handling equipment and machinery in a hot, humid, and noisy environment where chemicals are.
