Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Location: American Fork Hospital (American Fork, Utah) and Holy Cross Mountain Point Medical Center (Lehi, Utah)

Valley Women's Health is a growing practice, specialized in women's health, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and outstanding clinical outcomes. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Surgical Physician Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.

Position Summary

The Surgical Physician Assistant will work closely with our surgeons to provide comprehensive perioperative patient care, assisting in the operating room.

Schedule

• Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are our dedicated surgery days
• Flexible scheduling may be available based on practice needs
  
  

Responsibilities

• First assist in surgical procedures
• Perform preoperative and postoperative patient assessments
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising surgeons
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies
• Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and postoperative care
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
  
  

Qualifications

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current Physician Assistant license in Utah
• NCCPA certification
• Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  
  

Preferred

• Previous surgical experience as a Physician Assistant
• Experience in general surgery, women's health, and obstetrics
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
