NATURE OF WORK: To perform normal maintenance work under the direction of the Regional Manager of Maintenance and Transportation. Will assist in repairs, renovations, moving, vehicle maintenance and general upkeep of the facilities of the agency. Will assist in the routine care and upkeep of the grounds, plant and equipment owned or leased by Valley.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- General grounds maintenance, including mowing grass, trimming weeds, snow removal, routine care and upkeep of grounds maintenance equipment.
- General building upkeep and assist in general carpentry repairs or renovations.
- Travel to all locations owned or leased by Valley to perform essential duties.
- Assist in moving and relocating furniture at all locations owned by Valley and/or moving furniture or other items to and from storage facilities and alternate locations.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certificate or ability to be trained.
- Assist in taking vehicles to repair shops and documentation of this into vehicle logbooks.
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to perform Essential Duties as outlined below.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to comprehend written instructions and procedures.
- Ability to work alone on assignments and bring them to completion.
- Ability to work in adverse conditions a small percentage of the time.
- Ability to comply with Client’s Rights.
- Ability to comply with Valley’s and Division departmental safety procedures.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
