Role Overview:
Responsible for monthly reports to DSHS, quarterly meetings with DSHS case managers, ensuring that behavioral care plans and crisis plans are up to date, meeting with prospective clients at hospitals, ensuring crisis response as well as performing the duties of the Expanded Community Services (ECS) Mental Health Professional. The ECS MHP clinician duties include providing specialized behavioral management strategies, training and support services at facilities for clients identified by Home and Community Services Field Services Administrator or designee, as eligible for ECS services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend scheduled DSHS meetings as required.
- Complete monthly reports for DSHS.
- Proficient in behavioral management strategies and planning for individuals whose abilities to remain in community settings are compromised by behavior and personal care needs.
- Be proficient in collaborative care planning, implementation, and documentation on behalf of clients and their residential provider staff.
- Achieve 60% productivity (24 hours) billable services per full FTE.
- Respond to referrals from Home and Community Services and complete an Individualized Behavior Support Plan (IBSP) for each new client.
- Conduct and complete new client intake assessments in Credible.
- Provide consultation and/or training to caregiving staff in support of the implementation of IBSP.
- Provide crisis response capability including consultation for residential facility staff, and capacity to provide unscheduled on-site visits for management of behavioral challenges that compromise client’s placement.
- Provide pertinent information to crisis responders, including Designated Mental Health Professionals, for the purpose of averting hospitalization.
- Ensure crisis coverage 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
- Provide training for new ECS staff, including Peer Support Specialist.
- Provide liaison functions with hospitals, clinics, private practitioners, and managed care systems as assigned with prior consultation from OAS Manager.
- Assist Older Adult Services Contracts Manager with other administrative requirements
What We're Looking For:
- Master’s Degree.
- Mental Health Professional.
- Geriatric Mental Health Professional.
- Experience with serving individuals who require behavioral management, preferred.
Other:
- Current Agency Affiliated, Associate License or fully Licensed with the State of Washington.
- Current Driver’s License and automotive insurance w/ good driving record.
- Pass required background checks.
- Ability to transport clients.
- Ability to work independently.
