What you will do:
As the Cabinet Drafter you will be have a crucial role as you utilize Cabinet Vision Software to prepare drawings and information for our shop to be able to manufacture the customer’s project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop cut sheets and shop papers from approved order documents
- Work directly with shop floor personnel on issues and manufacturing concerns, ensuring continuous production and process improvements
- Work closely with CSR’s, product development, and production staff
- Ensure designs meet manufacturing and customer needs
- Effectively utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials to complete projects
- Perform other assigned tasks and requirements as assigned
- Produce workable layouts and 3Ds to our specification in a timely fashion
What you need:
- Basic knowledge of custom woodwork design construction
- Cabinet Vision or other related software experience, is preferred
- Highly skilled in computers and associated software, including Microsoft Office
- Strong math skills and the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, time management and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and handle variables in situations
- Strong technical, analytical, and reasoning skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position including, but not be limited to the following:
- Office environment – use of office equipment including computer, telephone, copier/printer.
- Ability to sit at a computer for an extended period.
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to walk.
- Hearing and vision to normal range
