Requirements of the Senior Cost Analyst:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline
- 5 years of experience in financial analysis, cost analysis, or operational finance roles
- Strong understanding of cost structures within manufacturing or production environments
- Ability to evaluate how material costs and operational inputs impact finished goods margins
- Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical modeling capabilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
- Experience with data visualization platforms such as Power BI preferred
- Serve as a finance partner to Operations, Procurement, and Finance teams to provide insight into cost drivers and margin performance
- Analyze material pricing trends, indirect spend, and cost fluctuations affecting product profitability
- Develop and maintain reporting that increases visibility into cost structure and margin performance
- Evaluate how input cost movements influence finished goods costs and overall margin outcomes
- Support scenario analysis tied to sourcing decisions, operational changes, and market conditions
- Assist in strengthening financial controls and ensuring accuracy in cost-related data and reporting
- Support month-end close activities including cost-related variance analysis and reporting
- Support ad-hoc tasks as needed
