Requirements of the Deputy BSA Officer:
- Minimum of 10 years of senior level BSA/AML, compliance experience within the banking or financial services industry, with 15 years preferred
- In-depth working knowledge of BSA, AML, CIP, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act, and related federal regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Finance, or a related discipline
- ACAMS, CFE, CRCM, or comparable professional certification preferred
- Prior experience designing and executing risk and compliance programs, including policy and procedure development
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
- Assist senior compliance leadership in overseeing the BSA/AML and Fraud programs, including risk assessments, monitoring strategies, and internal controls
- Serve as a subject matter expert on BSA/AML-related matters, offering guidance on regulatory updates, high-risk client reviews, and day-to-day compliance questions
- Support the preparation and review of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and coordinate timely escalation of compliance concerns
- Help develop and maintain BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with all applicable federal and state requirements
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly compliance metrics and reports to executive management
- Mentor and coach Financial Intelligence Division team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Support as needed
