What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRI Technologist PRN/Part Time position at Valdosta Orthopedic Associates?
Valdosta Orthopedic Associates has an opportunity for a Registered ARRT to join our team. Great Pay. Looking for Fridays, occasional Saturdays as well as some evenings. This position will be Part Time or PRN only.
Responsibilities:
- Perform complex tasks associated with the operation of high field strength magnets and related equipment to produce special radiographic images of specific body parts.
- Position patients to capture the right image as prescribed by the doctor, explaining procedures to patients, imposing safety measures, and using equipment properly.
- Maintain patient records, monitor equipment functions, monitor patients while they are being scanned, and ensure the image captured is clear and readable.
- Required to follow specific procedures to ensure your safety and the safety of other workers and patients.
- Serve as an assistant to doctors by providing images of a patient's body that the doctor uses to make a proper diagnosis.

- Exceptional knowledge of anatomy
- Must have basic computer skills
Education: Graduate from an accredited institution with a degree or certificate in Radiology or MRI
