Logistics Assistant - Temporary

Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers.

Job Summary: Schedule open production orders for specified looms for maximum weaveroom efficiency while striving to meet customer required ship dates.

Essential Functions:

• Review open production orders by hierarchy

• Assign production orders to appropriate looms daily

• Arrange orders on looms by suitability codes and component availability

• Release orders to maintain continuous loom operation

• Schedule warp changes as needed for efficiency and timeliness

• Communicate filling and warp needs to appropriate areas in a timely manner.

• Work with weave room to resolve issues with loom/pattern assignments

• Perform other duties as assigned
