What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher, Motor Vehicle (Part-Time) position at ValCorp?
Must be a reliable and detail-oriented Vehicle Dispatcher to manage the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles, drivers, and equipment. This position requires availability to work part-time with short notice. May be required to work weekends in support of RTUs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and dispatch drivers, work crews, and vehicles according to the TMP Manager's schedule and job specifications.
- Ensure drivers and customers meet all license requirements before dispatch.
- Assign appropriate vehicles based on request details and job requirements.
- Maintain and update vehicle and driver records in computer database systems.
- Prepare logbooks and dispatch documentation for the following day.
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Keep logbooks updated for all fleet vehicles and manage vehicle records (additions and removals) in the database.
- Conduct daily inventory and manage the issuance of GSA Fleet Credit Cards.
- Notify TMP Manager of daily employee call-ins or absences.
- Keep the dispatch area clean and organized on a daily basis.
- Ensure all required forms are accurately completed and submitted.
Requirements:
- Strong computer skills, particularly with database and recordkeeping systems.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Flexibility to work with short notice, including weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) investigation.
All Contractor personnel performing work under this contract must complete a favorable background investigation and be eligible to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC).
