What are the responsibilities and job description for the Motor Vehicle Mechanic position at Valiant Integrated Services?
Valiant is looking for a Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join our team!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Perform intermediate and direct support level maintenance for commercial/civilian vehicles and equipment.
- Provide general and direct support for ATVs, small engines, light towers, generators and trailers.
- Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals for identifying maintenance faults and repairs.
- Perform maintenance at maintenance shop and in the field.
- Operate recovery vehicles such as car hauler or wrecker.
- Operate forklift and tractor.
- Work in various weather conditions.
- Work weekends and shift work.
- Follow all environmental and safety rules.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 3 years’ experience as a general mechanic on civilian/domestic vehicles. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals. Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must possess a valid La Class D chauffeur’s license or obtain one within the first 90 days of hire to maintain employment.
- Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
