Job Title: IAM Authentication Product Owner Business Analyst
Role Type: Contract / Full-Time (as applicable)
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced IAM / Authentication Product Owner or Business Analyst to work closely with business stakeholders and delivery teams to drive identity and access initiatives. This role acts as the voice of the business, translating requirements into actionable technical stories and ensuring successful delivery aligned with business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary business representative for IAM and Authentication initiatives.
Identify, engage, and influence business stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs).
Drive backlog grooming sessions and break down features into clear, well-defined technical user stories.
Collaborate with business process owners to define metrics for benefits realization, adoption, and operational risk.
Partner with delivery teams to support schedule, scope, and resource planning.
Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX, designers, developers, testers, and analysts.
Manage and prioritize all work items including features, enhancements, and defects.
Assess impact and make decisions to deliver, defer, or reprioritize work at the project level.
Review and accept or reject deliverables based on defined acceptance criteria.
Prepare the business for change by supporting change management, adoption tracking, and risk mitigation.
Review stakeholder feedback and incorporate approved changes into the product backlog.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Authentication domains.
Proven ability to work as a Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst in Agile environments.
Hands-on experience with backlog management, user stories, and Agile ceremonies.
Experience working with cross-functional technology delivery teams.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and acceptance criteria.
Experience defining and tracking KPIs, metrics, and adoption measures.
Nice to Have
Experience with SSO, MFA, OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect.
Prior exposure to enterprise IAM tools (Okta, Azure AD, Ping, ForgeRock, etc.).
Experience supporting change management and operational readiness.
