Business Banking Relationship Manager

Role Overview

The Business Banking Relationship Manager is responsible for enhancing client relationships and supporting their business growth through comprehensive financial solutions, education, and risk management. They serve businesses with annual sales of $5M to $25M, providing banking services, developing new prospects, and maintaining a strong pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct retention and new business development calls with existing and potential clients.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional bank products and services.
• Interview applicants, prepare documentation, and recommend appropriate loan products.
• Determine optimal loan structures, submit packages for underwriting, and coordinate closings.
• Build and manage a portfolio of high-value small business clients, developing strategies for growth.
• Act as a financial advisor, educating clients on financial planning, investments, and market trends.
• Monitor customer accounts and market conditions to identify new needs and opportunities.
• Collaborate with other departments to fulfill cross-sell opportunities and close deals effectively.
• Develop sales plans, strategies, and maintain a robust business pipeline.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Knowledge of business cash flow and credit underwriting; commercial credit training preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Business acumen with understanding of diverse industries and financial concepts.
