JOB SUMMARY
Vaco is currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist II for a 3-4M Contract (w/ potential to convert to fulltime) that is located in Dallas, TX 75236 (onsite 5-days per week). The Support Specialist will provide dedicated plant-level IT support to manufacturing and production teams and will serve as the primary liaison to corporate IT while handling local system development, enhancements, custom queries, and implementation coordination using established company tools and processes. The Support Specialist will evaluate site-specific requirements related to information systems, assess alignment with current platforms, and when appropriate, submit formal enhancement requests to address identified gaps. The ideal Support Specialist will act as the primary PoC for system solutions, local development, and enhancements, with particular emphasis on Oracle-related projects, operational urgency, and excellent internal customer service.
About the Project: The Support Specialist will deliver dedicated IT Support at a Dallas-area plant during a period of merger-related transition. The Support Specialist will primarily focus on providing support during an Oracle transition / migration, rapid response to operational issues, and delivering high-touch service in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal Support Specialist will combine technical development skills with strong soft skills, including effective prioritization, clear communication with local plant stakeholders and corporate teams, and proactive problem-solving to support overall location performance.
