What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Vaco by Highspring?
Key Responsibilities:
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Prepare and record daily journal entries - strong understanding of debits and credits needed
- Review and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Reconcile bank accounts and monitor ongoing cash activity
- Maintain fixed asset records, including depreciation schedules
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and applicable regulations
- Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
- Support sales tax filings and other compliance-related reporting requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within a product-based, construction, or equipment-related environment
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices
- Experience working with accounting systems and ERP platforms
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
