Senior Accountant Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations while supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong nonprofit accounting experience, a proactive mindset, and a desire to grow within the organization.
Senior Accountant Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage general ledger activity, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Oversee grant accounting and ensure compliance with donor and regulatory requirements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors
- Improve and streamline accounting processes and internal controls
- Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to team development
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards
- Experience with grant tracking and fund accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Salary : $90,000 - $95,000
