Senior Accountant
Location options: Remote - East Coast
A fast-growing, tech-forward insurance organization is hiring a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting and regulatory filings. This role reports directly to the Controller and is a key part of a small, collaborative accounting team within a dynamic and evolving business.

What You'll Do:
Prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and insurance regulatory standards
Handle journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close activities
Support audits and examinations, ensuring timely and accurate responses
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes
Analyze financial results and trends to support management decisions
Assist with ad-hoc reporting and cross-functional initiatives
What We're Looking For:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3 years of relevant experience in insurance or financial services
Strong Excel skills; ERP system experience required (Sage experience is helpful but not required)
Exposure to statutory reporting for life or health insurers is highly preferred
Working knowledge of updated GAAP standards (LDTI or similar) is a plus
Detail-oriented, organized, and a clear communicator
