Plant Controller/ Site Director of Finance ( Manufacturing )

Our client, a leading manufacturer and distributor is currently adding a Site Controller/ Plant Director of Finance to their team. This role is open due to growth.
Role is very hands-on and will need someone who has come from a Manufacturing Plant facility and understands process improvements, etc. in that environment

This person ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits. They will also oversee the accounts payable function, payroll function, monthly closing of accounts and preparation of reports in support of the financial statements. Strategic Controls and Process improvement experience will be important for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, and report preparation
• Establish KPIs
• Budget, Forecast, and plan inventory maximization
• Improving efficiencies and identify cost saving opportunities
• Help with implementation of ERP software
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
• Budgeting
• Responsible for hierarchy and scalability in chart of accounts and accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements and has ultimate authority over classification and booking of all transactions
• Analyze the effect of statutory accounting practices and studies regulations and guidance to ensure correct application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Prepare detailed journal entries and account analyses
• Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns
• Actively review and advise on financial/accounting processes
• Manage a small team

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Manufacturing Environment Expertise a MUST or Public Accounting Experience with Manufacturing/Pharmaceutical clients
• Government Contract experience
