What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Coordinator position at Vaco by Highspring?
- Coordinate and manage the full onboarding process for new hires, including preparing new hire documentation, completing I-9 employment verification, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, terminations, and ongoing communication with employees and benefits providers.
- Manage Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests and other protected leaves, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
- Serve as the day-to-day administrator for the organization's Learning Management System (Absorb), maintaining employee training records, assigning required training, and supporting system users.
- Assist with payroll administration by tracking employee hours and payroll-related data, ensuring accuracy within a primarily manual payroll process.
- Provide broad HR Generalist support across multiple functional areas, including employee relations, policy interpretation, compliance, personnel records management, and HR best practices.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records while ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws and company policies.
- Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, leave programs, and other HR-related matters.
- Support HR initiatives, projects, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and the overall employee experience.
