Finance Manager, Operations

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Finance Operations Manager to support financial performance and operational decision-making across the business. This role serves as a key link between finance and operations, providing analysis, oversight, and insight into production costs, efficiencies, and overall financial results.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in finance or accounting, experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to communicate effectively with both finance and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities



Financial Planning & Analysis

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis related to production, labor, and overhead
• Develop and maintain financial models to support operational decision-making
  
  

Operational Finance Support

• Partner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to analyze cost drivers and improve efficiencies
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including production output, margins, and cost trends
• Provide actionable insights to improve profitability and operational performance
  
  

Cost & Inventory Oversight

• Support cost accounting processes, including standard costing and variance analysis
• Monitor inventory levels, valuation, and controls
• Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting related to operations
  
  

Reporting & Process Improvement

• Prepare and present financial and operational reports to leadership
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings initiatives
• Support implementation and optimization of ERP systems and reporting tools
  
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as a business partner to operations and leadership teams
• Support ad hoc analysis and strategic initiatives
• Assist in developing scalable processes to support business growth
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 5-8 years of experience in finance, FP&A, or accounting, preferably in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Experience working with cost accounting, inventory, or operational finance
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Familiarity with standard costing and variance analysis
• MBA, CPA, or CMA is a plus
