Our client is seeking a skilled Billing Specialist to join their team. This role supports the intake and setup of new and ongoing client engagements, with an emphasis on ensuring accurate documentation and alignment with established guidelines. The position works collaboratively across multiple internal teams to help streamline processes, maintain data integrity, and support effective operational execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the setup and coordination of new and ongoing client billing arrangements, ensuring necessary information is collected.
- Maintain organized billing records and documentation to support operational needs.
- Review billing-related information to ensure it aligns with internal standards and agreements.
- Conduct basic checks to confirm accuracy and completeness of billing data before finalization.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and facilitate smooth billing processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline billing workflows and improve efficiency.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on billing-related processes.
- Generate summaries and reports to track billing activity and compliance.
- Assist with special projects and other billing-related initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field?required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of finance or legal experience- focus on billing preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in billing software and ERP systems; experience with Aderant or IntApp a plus.
- Familiarity with electronic billing systems and related platforms.
- Experience with billing processes and related systems.
- Support review and application of billing guidelines and documentation.
- Assist in identifying and resolving billing-related issues.
- Understanding of billing practices and terminology.
- Awareness of relevant standards and compliance requirements.

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
