They are seeking an Assistant Fund Controller to join their finance team and play a key role in managing fund-level accounting and reporting for their real estate investment vehicles. Experience in Python and SQL and huge plus. Must have Big 4 and CPA.

Responsibilities
- Oversee fund accounting operations, including consolidations, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for real estate funds and investor reporting packages.
- Support acquisitions, dispositions, and financing arrangements.
- Manage capital activity, including contributions, distributions, and waterfall calculations.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and filings.
- Support fund performance analysis and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Drive process improvements and leverage technology for automation and efficiency.
- Partner with internal teams on system enhancements and data analytics initiatives.
- CPA designation required.
- Big 4 public accounting experience with a focus on real estate funds or private equity.
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience in real estate investment or asset management.
- Strong understanding of partnership accounting and fund structures.
- Tech-savvy mindset: exposure to AI tools, automation, and light coding (Python or similar) preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with fund accounting systems and ERP platforms a plus.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
