Accounting Manager

• Full-Cycle Reporting: Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidation files, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Cash Flows, and OCI Statements.
• SEC Compliance: Support the drafting and filing of Form 10-Qs and 10-Ks, ensuring all supporting schedules meet rigorous regulatory standards.
• Executive Insights: Develop multi-year Income Statement and Cash Flow projections to provide actionable intelligence for the Board of Directors and executive leadership.
• Investor Relations: Prepare high-level presentation materials for investor updates and quarterly earnings calls.
  

• Complex Research: Author technical memos on new accounting pronouncements and specific issues regarding leasing, acquisitions, and divestitures.
• Investment Support: Perform purchase price allocation (PPA) analysis for new real estate acquisitions to ensure accurate valuation and entry.
• Tax & REIT Compliance: Coordinate tax-related schedules, specifically focused on Form 1120-REIT requirements.
  

• Audit Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for external (EY) and internal (Weaver) auditors, managing all requests for SOX and COSO testing.
• Risk Mitigation: Maintain and update internal control frameworks, including narratives, risk-control assessments, and bank reconciliation reviews.
• Debt Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial agreements by preparing quarterly debt covenant calculations and bank submission files.
  

• Property Finance: Manage mortgage submissions, including property-level financials and rent rolls, and oversee expense approvals via Payscan.
• Close Management: Execute monthly and quarterly journal entries and workpapers with precision, thriving in a fast-paced environment with tight "short-close" deadlines.
  
  

• Industry Expertise: Proven experience in real estate accounting or REIT structures is highly preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong grasp of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC reporting requirements.
• Agility: Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities during peak quarterly close periods.
• Communication: Ability to translate complex accounting issues into clear memos for non-financial stakeholders.
