About the Role

V-1 Consulting is seeking an ORAT Project Manager to join our team. Our ORAT strategy emphasizes early engagement, starting at the design phase, to ensure a deep understanding of project intent and to facilitate seamless transitions. This role supports all aspects of the transition process for aviation hangar projects and/or other airline operations projects, working closely with client stakeholders as a key member of the project management team.

At V-1 Consulting, you'll help lead the transition of complex airport facilities and services into new builds or relocated spaces, driving innovation and operational excellence along the way.

What You'll Do

• Support the Sr. ORAT Manager with the operational readiness and transition process for client projects, minimizing disruption and maximizing efficiency. This includes developing and executing comprehensive transition plans that cover both physical relocations and process changes (e.g., workflow, technology, staffing) associated with the new location.
• Serve as the point of contact for communication and collaboration on in-person activities leading up to activation, working closely with project teams, airline operations, airport operators, vendors, and other external teams to ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
• Facilitate post-construction logistics, ensuring operators are prepared to use the new facilities in a way that meets operational needs and exceeds client expectations.
• Monitor project timelines, provide regular status updates, and proactively address potential challenges to keep activations on track.
• Facilitate the implementation of training programs, updated operational procedures, and produce supporting system documentation to prepare client teams for the transition.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with the transition process.
• Contribute to reports and presentations for client leadership and stakeholders that demonstrate project progress, successes, and achievements.
• Participate in post-transition reviews to identify best practices and areas for continuous improvement.
• Drive stakeholder readiness and adoption by developing and executing change management strategies, addressing cultural and operational shifts, and conducting impact assessments to ensure a smooth transition for all airport and airline personnel.
• Support stakeholder with creating/updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational workflows, aligning them with the new facility's technology and infrastructure to optimize efficiency and ensure day-one readiness.

What You'll Bring

• Onsite Requirements: 5 days per week

• Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of project management principles and the ability to balance diverse stakeholder needs while maintaining project vision and integrity.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to achieving successful outcomes.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more of the following: ORAT, airport/airline operations, airline technical operations or military aircraft maintenance, aviation construction management, general or aviation warehousing, logistics, or aerospace.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); advanced Excel skills

Preferred (not required)

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Project Management, Logistics or related field
