About the Role
As the Senior Construction Project Manager - PMO, you will drive the operational heartbeat of our program. You’ll lead and oversee core PMO functions—including governance, scheduling, risk management, financial controls, and performance reporting. Working closely with Program Leadership, you’ll establish clear, consistent processes that bring transparency and discipline to execution. Your ultimate mission: ensure every project is planned, tracked, and delivered seamlessly in full alignment with DEN Airport requirements and strategic objectives.
What You'll Do
- PMO Leadership & Governance: Serve as PMO Manager supporting the Principal Program Manager (PPM). Establish, maintain, and enforce the PMO framework, Program Management Plan (PMP), and standardized workflows across all projects.
- Integrated Project Controls: Direct cross-functional PMO teams—including scheduling, cost, estimating, risk management, change management, and document control.
- Financial & Capital Management: Lead program budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow, and contingency management. Partner with Finance on funding requests, change-order impacts, and business cases.
- Performance Tracking & Analytics: Track and validate key project financials, schedules, and Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics, including Estimate at Completion (EAC). Design executive dashboards, KPIs, and monthly reports to uncover trends, identify risks early, and drive strategic corrective action.
- Risk Management: Facilitate risk workshops, maintain the program risk, and oversee mitigation strategies and contingency recommendations.
- Program Lifecycle & Executive Support: Coordinate stage-gate reviews, governance meetings, executive decisions, and cross-project dependency resolution.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive lessons-learned initiatives, continuous improvement, and resource planning to ensure consistency, transparency, and timely decision-making.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, Aviation Management, or a related field, or 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- 10 years of experience in program management, project management, PMO leadership, project controls, or delivery of large, complex capital programs.
- Demonstrated experience integrating cost, schedule, risk, change management, document control, and executive reporting functions.
- Experience managing complex aviation, transportation, infrastructure, or public-sector programs exceeding $50M.
- Strong knowledge of program governance, capital planning, forecasting, performance management, and project delivery processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with executives, project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
Preferred (not required)
- Experience at DEN or another large-hub airport.
- PMP, PgMP, CCM, CCP, PSP, or equivalent professional certification.
- Experience with alternative delivery methods, including Design-Build, CM/GC, CMAR, or Progressive Design-Build.
- Experience developing and managing PMPs, governance plans, executive dashboards, stage-gate processes, and enterprise PMO standards.
- Proficiency with project management and reporting platforms such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Power BI, SharePoint, or similar systems.
