Uxbridge Public Schools seeks a collaborative, student-centered instructional leader to serve as Assistant Principal of Uxbridge High School, a comprehensive secondary school serving students in grades 8-12. Reporting to the Principal, the Assistant Principal helps lead a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous school grounded in high expectations, evidence-based practice, and strong relationships with students, families, and staff. Key Responsibilities
Support a clear, coherent instructional vision aligned to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and MassCore; conduct observations and provide actionable feedback through the DESE educator evaluation framework.
Assist in the supervision and evaluation of assigned staff and the facilitation of PLCs, using student data; including MCAS, common assessments, and credit/graduation progress to inform decisions.
Administer student discipline with consistency, fairness, and equity, applying restorative practices and ensuring due process; monitor attendance and chronic absenteeism.
Support master scheduling, assessment administration (including grade-10 MCAS), school safety and emergency planning, and the supervision of school events and student activities.
Partner with families on academic progress, graduation and Competency Determination status, behavioral expectations, and post-secondary planning.
Help advance an inclusive, collaborative, high-performing professional culture and lead by example as a reflective, equity-minded administrator.
Assume administrative leadership of the school in the absence of the Principal and perform other duties as assigned consistent with the role.
Salary : $108,000 - $116,000
