Uxbridge High School has an opening for a paraeducator/applied behavior analyst technician. This position will be housed at the Independence Program, which serves the needs of students ages 18-22 and who are transitioning from the general high school environment.
The job of Special Education ABA Technician is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision, care, and instruction of students with special needs in the general education setting or in a self-contained classroom; assisting in implementing plans for instruction; monitoring and redirecting student behavior; and providing information to appropriate school personnel. This person must be trained in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Responsibilities include lifeskill support and skill acquisition. Experience with students who are nonverbal, autistic, or with intellectual disabilities is preferred but not required.
