Is responsible for the care provided to assigned patients and accountable to the unit manager/charge nurse for such care. Arranges off-site resident appointments and operates the Woodridge vehicle to provide transportation to appointments. This position will be involved with managing medical records under the direction of the Director of Nursing. Provides care to assigned patients in conformance with Nursing Department Policies, Standards of Practice, physician orders and an approved plan of care. Promotes communication of patients’ status, change in condition and patients’ need with the licensed nurse. Functions within Nursing Department and CVMC and Woodridge policies and procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the nursing department and CVMC and Woodridge. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS -High School graduate or equivalent. -Registered in the State of Vermont as a Licensed Nursing Assistant. -Must have a valid motor vehicle license. Must provide Motor Vehicle Report in accordance with policy A-904. -Must be at least 18 years of age. -Prior experience as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in a health care setting is preferred. -Must demonstrate ability to perform basic nursing care skills.
