They help with: preparing a patient’s meal tray for delivery, delivery of meals to patient rooms, dishwashing, separating trash/recycle/compost, and re-stocking supplies. Job routines require patient interaction, working as a team, the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, and moving large carts throughout the hospital. Great attitude and navigation skills are helpful! EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent preferred, minimum 18 years of age. EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in a high volume, fast paced food service environment preferred. Knowledge/Special Skills: Ability to read, speak, write and understand English. Must possess excellent customer service skills and be able to follow basic oral and written instructions. Meets the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods of time and walking long distances. Must be dependable – no excessive absenteeism/tardiness - per department policy. Understands and follows safety and sanitation procedures. This is a bargaining union position.
