The UVM Medical Center Business Analysis team is seeking a motivated individual with strong Excel and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to confidently communicate and collaborate with people at all levels of the organization. They will provide the financial support for both clinical and nonclinical operational leaders across the hospital. As a Financial Analyst on this team, you will: Partner with operational leaders to build annual budgets and provide ongoing analytical support, Work independently and with a team to support your operational leaders in decision-making that impacts The University of Vermont Medical Center and The University of Vermont Health Network, and Thoroughly understand the areas you support in order to creatively problem-solve and develop proactive solutions. JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide the primary financial management and related analysis support for one or more assigned clinical business units (e.g. Health Care Service divisions). Act as the liaison for Finance by interpreting the finance support needs of his/her customer group(s)and responding to those needs by facilitating the application of appropriate resources in conjunction with Finance. Organize and present the financial basis for strategic and operational decision making by his/her customers’ leadership team. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities were acquired will be considered. EXPERIENCE: Three to five years of related experience that demonstrates knowledge and familiarity with health care finance, accounting and budgeting.
