UVU School of Education (Secondary) is seeking a creative studio assistant to prepare place based curriculum with professors in the department.
Summary of Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Gathering, compiling, cleaning and/or entering data
- Assisting with transcription and/or coding of qualitative data
- Assisting in programming, coordinating, and conducting survey research, focus groups and other data collection efforts
- Cleaning and analyzing data
- Assisting in producing, cleaning, and analyzing data files
- And producing summaries of data from data sets.
- Assists with department’s social media posts and digital signs
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
- Must be a current UVU student
- Applicants should have place based experience and be a secondary education major.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good telephone, email, and customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Professionalism
- Organizational skills
- Computer skills (Internet, Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Good work ethic/self-motivated
- Ability to be a team player
- Ability to interact and communicate in person and on the phone with college
- students
- Willingness to try/learn new things
- Knowledge of Facebook and Instagram and other social media
