Job Description
Assists in directing strategic planning, budget management, and accounting functions, and ensures proper execution of fiscal activities along with the day-to-day financial operation. Ensures compliance with quarterly reports, oversees responses to audit requests, monitors closeout and overdrafts, oversees effort reporting, and assists in developing grant projection budgets. Designs, plans, develops, and implements the financial operations of all assigned departments, institutes, and/or research centers.

- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices as applied within an institutional academic, research or business unit.
- Knowledge of project management/scheduling.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.

- Strong budgetary and analytical skills.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.), financial or accounting programs and databases.
- Coordinates and manages the annual and biennial budget process as communicated by the Institution’s Budget Office and/or CFO. Assists with the coordination of and/or responds to fiscal notes.
- Oversees, reviews, coordinates and submits the institutional reports in a timely manner; keeps Senior Leadership apprised of the School’s overall financial status.
- Manages the level of cash flow and forecasting; presents and recommends viable solutions for critical financial matters; provides written, clear and summarized reports to leadership for decision-making purposes.
- Establishes, monitors, and coordinates the financial, payroll and grant review and analysis processes.
- Oversees the internal review and audit of department reconciliations and cash handling operations, leading to the annual financial certification.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree degree in Finance/Accounting is required.
Required Skills
Eight (8) years related professional experience and Two (2) years of supevisory experience is required
