What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Systems Analyst position at UT Health Austin?
Who You Are
You’re a systems-minded problem solver who loves making complex environments run smoother, smarter, and safer. You know your way around IT systems, data workflows, quality tools, and the operational heartbeat of an academic medical center. You thrive in cross-functional spaces — translating clinical, IT, and quality needs into solutions that actually work. You’re curious, analytical, great with people, and you don’t just spot issues — you fix them and make the process better while you’re at it.
What You’ll Do
You’ll drive the performance and evolution of the systems that power quality, risk, patient safety, and patient experience across UT Health Austin. You’ll analyze workflows, evaluate platforms (REDCap, Epic, and more), build reporting capabilities, and partner with clinical, IT, and administrative teams to strengthen the reliability and efficiency of our quality systems. You’ll audit, test, troubleshoot, and refine processes, documenting findings and supporting teams with training, guidance, and change management. You’ll help uncover root causes, recommend improvements, ensure compliance, and support the continuous improvement of the clinical enterprise — all with the goal of elevating patient care.
