Duties
- Drive along designated routes to deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses.
- Operate various vehicles, including box trucks and vans, while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform route driving efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while managing schedules effectively.
- Handle heavy lifting of packages and mail items, ensuring safe loading and unloading procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from recipients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including sorting and organizing mail for delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in delivery driving or courier services is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience with route driving and familiarity with local areas is an advantage.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in warehouse settings is beneficial but not required.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
