What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at USPI?
USPI Theda Oaks Gastro and Endo Center is seeking a motivated Full-Time Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. Our team is small, but we are mighty! Current operations are M-F, 5:30 a.m. - 6:30p.m., however hours will depend on patient flow. We have 4 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology and Pain Management
Job Summary: The Front Desk Receptionist interfaces with patients and families, physicians and staff; Admit patients and process their paperwork; Update patient demographics/information in system; Collect monies due and document in the billing system; Handle funds per office procedure. Answer incoming phone calls.

Required Skills:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 2-3 years of hospital or medical office experience.
Knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards
Ability to use time wisely in preparing work areas to meet high-paced demand.
Show a genuine desire to work and improve the center as a whole.
Must be detail oriented.
Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner.
Must be able to adhere to hospital financial and admitting policies.
Ability to promote positive relationships with patients and staff.
Must know insurance verification and collection processes.
Must have problem solving and decision-making skills.
Professional appearance.
Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
