North Atlantic Surgical Suites is hiring a full time Surgical Tech First Assist

Eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500

North Atlantic Surgical Suites is an ambulatory surgical center specializing in total knee and hip replacement surgery and orthopedic spinal surgery. Conveniently located in Salem New Hampshire, the state-of-the-art facility was created by leading-edge surgeons from Boston area Hospitals to provide the best possible patient experience. SPECIALTIES:

Total Hip and Knee Replacement
Surgeries of the Lumbar and Cervical Spine including Kyphoplasty & Vertebroplasty

Job Summary: A Surgical First assistant plays a vital role in a successful surgical procedure. They are primarily in charge of assisting surgeons, such as by arranging and handing over tools, holding open incisions, and dressing surgical wounds. No Weekends, No Major Holidays & No Call Required.

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma / GED
Completion of a Surgical Technician Program.
NBSTSA Surgical First Assistant Certification required.
Two years of Certified Surgical First Assistant experience in an orthopedic setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Other skills and abilities: General familiarity with medical terminology as it pertains to anatomy and surgical procedures in an operating room.
