Overview

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Sr Vice President Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer oversees and provides strategic direction, planning, and leadership for inpatient, emergency and surgical nursing operations, advance practice professionals, rehab services, patient care services education and research, social work, care coordination and patient experience at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Implements initiatives to develop, enhance and optimize patient care and nursing services in the assigned areas.Participates in the formulation of initiatives to address the developing needs of the community, recruiting, retaining and optimizing a world-class nursing and patient care workforce, responding to the changing trends in healthcare, and advancing the organization’s mission, goals, and vision. Provides guidance to ensure that assigned areas of responsibilities provides the highest quality, most cost-effective healthcare possible, and that operations are in compliance with the accrediting body’s guidelines as well as federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: • Minimum of eight (8) years of general management experience in patient care and nursing services, understanding of Magnet principles and standards.• The incumbent should also possess strong experience and knowledge in strategic planning, MediCaid-insured populations, and community relations. Education/Licensure/Certification: • Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare or Business strongly preferred. If Master’s is not in Nursing, then either a baccalaureate or doctoral degree must be in nursing.• Experience in a free-standing Children’s hospital or academic medical center preferred.• Current Registered Nurse California Licensure Required

Pay Scale Information

CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. We provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs.

$412,880.00-$681,408.00
