Overview
Hours: 5 days / 8hr Night shifts 11pm-7:30am; M-F with rotating weekend call.
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Sterile Processing Department Supervisor will supervise, prioritize, and coordinate team workflow for the shift. Will ensure the appropriate decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of scopes and instruments dispensed by the department. The supervisor acts as a resource and ensures that infection control practices are being followed. Coordinates, plans, and assigns workloads and manages employee activities, time reporting, and scheduling. The role will provide recommendation on the performance of team members to the manager and ensure excellent customer service and effective operations.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 5 years' work experience in a supervisor role in Sterile Processing Department.
Education/Licensure/Certification: High School Graduate or equivalent. Bachelor degree preferred. Sterile Processing Certification from an accredited school/agency (i.e. CRCST or CBSPD) required.
