Overview
Shift: Monday Friday Day shift.
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Psychiatric Social Worker provides outpatient mental health services in the Behavioral Health clinic and is responsible for supporting and coordinating the mental and behavioral health care of patients on an assigned patient caseload, with the patient's medical provider, and other mental health providers. Employs evidence-based therapeutic treatment interventions and psychoeducation to patients and families. Provides case management as needed.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 2 year clinical experience with children, adolescents, young adults, and/or their families/caregivers. Experience in health care setting preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Education/Licensure/Certification: Masters Degree in Social Work with previous experience in a child, adolescent, or family mental health setting. Licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Social Worker. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. American Health Association BLS certification required.
