What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Director of Operations - Oral Surgery position at US Oral Surgery Management?
The Regional Director of Operations - Northeast will be responsible for the planning, development, coordination, and execution of all operations initiatives and surgeon relations activities for the US Oral Surgery Management partner practices. This role has a focus on Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. The scope of practice may expand into adjoining states as USOSM grows.
The Regional Director reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations – East.
Coordinate, monitor, and manage a $60MM P&L, approximately 15 oral surgery offices, and 200 employees. Further growth is anticipated in the coming months.
Partner with surgeons to address operational concerns including staff management, patient scheduling, purchasing, culture, recruiting, facilities management, and practice growth. (30%)
Lead multi-site operations. Ensure quality and compliant patient care by leading approximately 12-15 direct reports. (30%)
Improve processes, policies, and practices to achieve company’s goals and ensure practices adhere to company-wide rules and guidelines. (20%)
Address top growth priorities focusing on same store growth and providing due diligence and operational alignment for new partnerships. (20%)
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven success engaging with medical doctors and physician groups. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with doctors as key partners.
- Proven experience leading a high performing team. Promotes positive relations among medical staff and personnel. Passion for building and sustaining a strong team across multiple geographies.
- Healthcare site management preferred, ideally multi-site management.
- Strong financial acumen including the ability to directly own and manage a P&L. Metrics driven with a focus on action to drive business performance improvement.
- Advanced system skills with the ability to access data with various applications (CRM, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and supervisory experience.
- Ability for overnight travel (70%-80%).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a constantly growing and changing environment.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor Degree required, MBA preferred.
- At least five (5) years of experience in healthcare site management with at least two (2) years of experience in a doctor / physician partnership organization.
- Four (4) to ten (10) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
