US Farathane is seeking an experienced and driven HR Manager to lead HR operations at our Austin, TX facility.
The HR Manager serves as a strategic partner to plant leadership, overseeing all human resources functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, payroll administration, compliance, and employee engagement. This position requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day HR operations while fostering a positive, compliant, and high-performance work environment aligned with company goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, conducting investigations and recommending appropriate resolutions.
- Provide guidance and coaching to supervisors and managers on employee performance, discipline, and conflict resolution.
- Promote a positive workplace culture focused on engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions within the plant.
- Partner with plant leadership to identify staffing needs and develop workforce plans and ensure timely hiring to meet production demands while maintaining quality candidate standards.
- Support onboarding, orientation, and training programs to ensure successful employee integration.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, etc.)
- Maintain and enforce company policies, procedures, and employee handbook guidelines
- Oversee HR metrics, reporting, and audits, including monthly reviews with leadership.
- Manage recordkeeping and ensure data integrity within HR systems.
- Oversee weekly/hourly payroll and complete biweekly payroll processing (including payroll changes) for salaried employees.
- Ensure accuracy of employee timekeeping records, including overtime, shift differentials, and attendance tracking.
- Support employee benefit programs, open enrollment, and employee inquiries.
- Act as a trusted advisor to plant leadership on organizational design, workforce challenges, and change management
- Participate in plant leadership meetings to align HR strategies with operational goals.
- Support recognition programs, employee events, and communication efforts to foster a positive and high-performance workplace culture.
- Act as a visible and approachable HR presence on the plant floor to build trust and strengthen relationships.
- Lead and develop HR staff, including HR Generalist and HR Coordinator.
- Collaborate with EHS and operations leadership to promote a safe and compliant work environment.
- Ability to respond to off-shift or urgent employee matters as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, and/or equivalent professional experience.
- 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or automotive environments.
- Experience supporting high-volume, hourly workforce populations.
- Strong knowledge of employment law including FMLA/ADA administration.
- Experience with payroll, preferred.
- Proven ability to manage employee relations issues and conduct investigations.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
