Our growing, privately owned heavy equipment dealer is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to assist the Controller in the finance department including the continued development and implementation of best practices in our industry. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with a highly functional team. This person will work directly with the customer to resolve issues, errors, and concerns that may arise. They will be responsible for cash application and processing customer debits, returns, pricing, freight, sales tax, and shortages, etc. Strong communication skills are necessary as the position requires interaction between customers, reps, managers, and internal departments.
Position: A/R Specialist
Pay Range: $60,000-$65,000
Position Type : Full-time (on-site)
Location: Lemont, IL
Key Responsibilities:
· Actively address customer issues as they arise: Returns, billing and shipping errors, debits, complaints.
· Provide strategic customer service regarding collection issues, processing customer refunds, and review/process account adjustments.
· Communicate and drive resolution between the sales and customer service teams to provide high quality customer satisfaction.
· Post payments (ACH, wire transfer, and check) utilizing bank website and customer remittances.
· Determine recommended customer credit limits based upon analysis of internal and external data and processing sales orders.
· Work with financing partners to assist in the funding of customer purchases of equipment and ensure target closing schedules are maintained.
· Interact and communicate with internal departments as well as external locations (e.g.: Sales Managers, Area Representatives).
· Answer and manage phone calls and emails.
· Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable department.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in A/R
- Must be organized, able to multi-task, and meet deadlines
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook. Quickbooks or D365 a plus.
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Bookkeeping a plus
