Responsibilities
- Manage employee immigration and work authorization processes, including CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, H-1B, H-1B Transfer, H-4 EAD, TN, and Green Card sponsorship cases
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment eligibility regulations, including Form I-9 and E-Verify requirements
- Coordinate with external immigration attorneys and employees to prepare and submit required documentation
- Track visa expiration dates and employment authorization deadlines to ensure compliance. Maintain accurate immigration records and employee files
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding processes
- Collect and verify employee documentation and employment records
- Enter and maintain employee data within HRIS and other internal systems
- Conduct new hire orientation and company policy training
- Prepare HR reports and provide regular updates to management regarding workforce issues and organizational needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field is preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources, Operations Management, or related functions; experience with employment-based immigration processes is preferred
- Experience using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills is preferred
- Must be fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written)
